Fruits for Teeth

                                       Teeth-friendly Fruits
Healthy living has always been associated with eating five portions of fruits and vegetables. Eating fruits is an effective way of building immunity as well as of keeping your teeth healthy. Certain fruits are known to be particularly beneficial to the teeth. Lets take a look at them:
Apples
Munching apples is a delicious home remedy for strong and white teeth. Apples help to clean the plaques from the roots of the teeth naturally. They also help cleaning the yellow spots on teeth. It is always better to eat apples whole rather than drink their juice as peeling them makes them lose their beneficial properties for your teeth.
Apples can be consumed as is or along with other fruit as in this salad:

Bananas
Packed with vitamins, minerals, potassium bananas are loaded with positive health benefits. The fruit does not stick to teeth and the inner part of the banana peel helps in whitening teeth.

Strawberry

The fresh fruit contains malic acid which acts as an astringent to remove surface discoloration. Combined with baking soda, strawberries become a natural tooth-cleanser. The best way to use it would be to crush strawberry to a pulp, then mix it with baking soda until blended. The mixture is then spread onto the teeth with a soft toothbrush. After 5 minutes, the berry-baking soda mix is removed by brushing and rinsing.
Watermelon
The summer fruit is rich in Vitamin C which is greatly beneficial to the teeth and gums. It has anti-oxidant properties that help prevent cell damage and ensure healthy gums. Adequate consumption of fruits and vegetables is known to boost immunity and lower the rate of gum disease. So ensure you make the best of the season and consume watermelons to our hearts' content.
The crunchy watermelon is best had as it is. For those who would like to have it differently, here is an exciting way of serving it:
